Please note that the Aartswood is only taking bookings from June 2008 due to extensive redevelopment.
The Aartswood is situated on the North Side of Scarborough and is a short walk from the town and all the major attractions.
All 13 bedrooms, from singles to family rooms (some en-suite), have tea and coffee making facilities, colour T.V.s, wash basins, shaver points and electric wall heaters. Also there is a toilet and shower on every floor.
Situated on the ground floor is a pleasant dining room where we offer home cooked food (special diets by prior arrangement).
On the first floor is the residents lounge, where you can enjoy a game of pool, sit and relax reading one of the books from our small library. Or on match days, watch the cricket festival from our balcony, with views directly across Scarborough Cricket Ground.
The Aartswood is an ideal base for all local attractions or daily excursions to places such as Flamingo Land Fun Park, Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby, York, or the breathtaking North Yorkshire Moors (with it's own steam railway). Information on most places of interest can be found in the lounge.

GENERAL INFORMATION
On arrival:
Rooms are ready from 2.00 pm onwards, but luggage can be left from 10.30 am
On departure:
Rooms must be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure and keys handed in at reception.
Luggage can be left with us on day of departure (by prior arrangement).
Payment:
A deposit sent to us within a week of booking will secure the room. The outstanding balance for all rooms must be paid for by cash or cheque (with a valid banker's card) on your arrival. Sorry, we do not take credit card bookings.
Parking:
Parking in Trafalgar Square is by disc or permit, and we provide these, free of charge, to all our guests.
We are approximately 5 minutes taxi ride from the coach park, and railway station.
